The former Pizza Plus has morphed into a beautiful butterfly, offering an upscale Italian menu sure to please the toughest critic. A couple of years ago, its enlightened owner, Jordan Dikegoros, invested a minor fortune, remodeling and expanding until the restaurant could stand shoulder to shoulder with the Capital City’s better dining venues. The restaurant’s name was changed and the menu updated (but some old favorites were retained). In hiring supremely talented Jennifer Krascella as executive chef, Dikegoros found someone more than equal to the challenge. This handsome restaurant also has free parking, eliminating one of the top discouragements to Hartford dining. In just a couple of years, J Restaurant/Bar has become one of the Capital City's top dining destinations.
