Tucked away in the Temple Plaza Courtyard, the Ivy offers guest an off-the-beaten-path appeal often difficult to find in downtown New Haven. The large patio is secluded from the street, so patrons can relax and enjoy a cocktail or a nosh without the noise of passersby. The facade of the building, still faced with the original brick, provides ideal routes for climbing ivy vines. The interior of the lounge is outfitted with a simple and modern yet warm decor, complete with marble bars, plush leather couches, and artwork from local talents. The original hardwood floors, exposed beams and high vaulted ceilings are reminiscent of the buildings days as a textile factory. The space offers three levels of dinner, drinks and dancing, including a two-level restaurant and lounge, as well as a downstairs nightclub. In the warmer months, the Ivy also boasts one of the largest patios in New Haven as well as an expansive terrace that overlooks the Temple Plaza Courtyard.

So what exactly is artisan pizza? An Artisan, for anyone who doesn’t know, is defined as a skilled worker who practices a trade or handicraft–in other words, a craftsman. By defining Kitchen ZINC as artisan pizza we are taking our years of knowledge, award-winning skills and relationships with local farms in an attempt to create the perfect pie.
